We are very lucky to have a therapy dog who visits our school every week.  Marvin visits Reception and Year 1 classes and then spends some time with children who need a little encouragement with their reading, or perhaps have been feeling sad or need a friend.

Marvin is specially trained to be calm and co-operative so is especially good with children who may lack confidence or may be uncertain around dogs.  He comes to school with his handler, Sarah, who makes sure he is always well cared for and content to be in school and around the children.

Marvin is always ready to be cuddled and stroked and we all love him very much
