Behaviour
At East Ardsley Primary Academy we have four school rules which we feel encompass our philosophy:
- Respect everyone and everything.
- Keep yourself and others safe.
- Be responsible for your actions.
- Enable yourself and others to learn.
We take time in circle time and Assemblies to go over the school rules, to reinforce what good behaviour looks like and to share examples of good behaviour.
Children are rewarded for good behaviour. We have Team Points so that the children work together to maintain good behaviour throughout school. At the end of each half term we have a Rewards Afternoon to show our appreciation for all the children's hard work and positive attitude and behaviour.
We have set systems and procedures to manage times when children's behaviour is not as good as it should be. These are outlined in the following policies:
Exclusions
The Principal is the only person who has the power to exclude a pupil and must give careful consideration to the law in so doing. The requirements for exclusion can be read here.
