Ms Nicola Hargreaves - Co Chair of Governor -Parent Representative - Term of office ends March 2020 - I am a Chartered Accountant with 20 years' experience in business and practice. My aim as a governor is to apply my commercial thinking and experience of business partnering to ensure delivery of targets and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the school. I believe that the first years of a child's education are crucial, not only their later academic potential, but also to their development of socal and other life skills. Just like every other parent at East Ardsley Primary I want the best for my children and I think parent governors have a special role in supporting the school leadership team and providing an independent and sometimes challenging view.
I am an experienced senior administrator in the University Sector, with responsibility for mutli-£M budgets and research grants, local and statutory governance along with all aspects of strategy, financial, HR and estates planning, delivered through matrix management of complex cross institutional teams. I have a significant previous experience as an academic/research scientist in both the NHS and University Sectors including delivering student education at HE level. I wish to ensure all pupils are able to achieve their potential and using these acquired skills, feel best placed to do this by working as an East Ardsley Governor as well as representing our Academy on the Leodis Multi- Academy Trust (MAT) Board of Trustees, to ensure East Ardsley and the MAT are challenged and held accountable for how they support, teach and nurture our young learners
